Mancora is located in the province of Talara in Northern Peru. It is a small fishing village- turned hippy tourist town with beautiful beaches and a laid back atmosphere. Located on some of Perus best beaches, far from the busy, bustling cities. The fresh sea air and laid back rythym of life make it the perfect place to escape to with great friends and family.  

We fell in love with Mancora on a trip there last year and when we decided to get married, we both knew without a doubt that is where we wanted this special occasion to take place, barefoot between the hammocks and the surf. 

Weather:

Mancora has a great climate, with sun all year round. The ocean water temperatures average 24 C°. August is dry, breezy and sunny, with the temperature never falling bellow 25ºC during the day and droping to about 17ºC at night. 

What to do:

- Learn to surf or kite surf- surf instructors and equipment rental are available.

- Lay on the beach

Getting There/ Cómo Llegar

From Lima:

By Bus:

There are many overland bus options if you have extra time to spare but not the extra cash. The trip from Lima to Mancora is about 17 hours by bus, a beautiful journey that allows you to see some of the different regions of Peru in all it`s beauty.

Buses range in price and comfort from about S/50 (Approximately $20) to about S/150 (Approx. $50) for first class comfort with meals and seats that recline 180º. 

By Plane:

Mancora is located about half way between the cities of Piura and Tumbes both of which have airports.

LAN has flights to both Tumbes and Piura, but is by far the most expensive option with extra charges for foreigners.

Peruvian Airlines flies to Piura and Tumbes and is the cheapest air option with two flights daily. I would recommend it as they have excellent service and a round trip flight from Lima to Piura costs about $90US (for Peruvians and foreigners). The flights is 1 hour 15 minutes.

Star Peru has flights to Chiclayo, which is futher south and about a 6 hour bus ride from Mancora, but has some interesting ruins.


From Piura to Mancora:
Piura to Mancora is about a 2 hour drive through lush tropical climate to a more dry desert feel along the coast.

By taxi:

Taxi`s are available that leave directly from the airport and cost about S/200 (Approx. $70US) and fit 4 people.

Rent a car:

Right outside the airport is a car rental agency, Localiza rent a car, if you have always dreamed of driving through unknown highways in Peru. Telephone: 073-34-73-93, Cell: 969380941/969380943.

By van:

From the airport you can get a taxi for about S/6 and ask them to take you to the Paradero Mancora (Mancora bus stop). There are two van companies that leave from here. They are comfortable 12 passenger vans that will take you right to Mancora for S/30 (Approx. $10). They leave every hour.

I would recommend, flying from Lima to Piura on Peruvian Airlines, then going by van to Mancora. We realize that is seems like a lot of work. But we guarantee that it is worth the trip. That is if you enjoy relaxing on a beach with friends and celebrations. We are so excited and if you have any questions or need help booking any form of transportation let us know.

Desde Lima:
En bús:

Hay muchas opciones de bús para llegar a Mancora. El viaje de Lima a Máncora es de aproximadamente 17 horas en bus, un hermoso recorrido que les permite ver algunas de las diferentes regiones del Perú en todo su belleza.

Los buses varían en precio y comodidad desde S/40 a  S/150 para un buscama. .


En avión:
Máncora se ubica a mitad de camino entre las ciudades de Piura y Tumbes, los cuales cuentan con aeropuertos.

LAN ofrece vuelos tanto de Tumbes y Piura, pero es la opción más costosa, con precios diferenciados para  extranjeros.

Peruvian Airlines vuela a Piura y Tumbes y es la opción más barata de avion, con dos vuelos diarios. Tienen un excelente servicio y un vuelo de ida y vuelta desde Lima a Piura cuesta alrededor de $ 90US (para peruanos e extranjeros). Los vuelos son de 1 hora y 15 minutos.
Star Perú ofrece vuelos a Chiclayo, y es una viaje en bús  de 6 horas hasta Máncora.


De Piura a Mancora:


Piura a Mancora  de aproximadamente 2 horas en por tierra, pases por una clima tropical y un desierto más seco a lo largo de la costa.


En taxi:
Taxis  salen directamente desde el aeropuerto y cuesta alrededor de S/200 (aprox. 70US $) para 4 personas.


Alquiler de coches:
Justo fuera del aeropuerto hay una agencia de alquiler de vehículos, si usted siempre ha soñado con conducir por carreteras desconocidas en el Perú.


Por van:
Desde el aeropuerto se puede coger un taxi por cerca de S / 6 y pedirles que te lleve al Paradero Mancora. Hay dos empresas de van que salen de aquí. Son unos vans cómodos que le llevará directamente a Máncora para S/30. Salen cada hora.

Somos conscientes de que  parece un largo viaje, pero te garantizamos que vale la pena el viaje. Es decir si le gusta relajarse en una playa y celebrar con  amigos. Estamos tan emocionado y si tienen preguntas o necesita reservar cualquier forma de transporte háganos saber.

Accomodation/ Alojamiento

Accommodation:

We believe strongly in community and quality time spent having fun and sharing with our friends, family and loved ones. Because of that we have booked all the  bungalows at  Laguna Surf Camp for 3 nights, August 5, 6, and 7 and we ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you will be able to join us for this amazing weekend. 

Laguna Surf Camp is located in Mancora a few blocks from the centre of Mancora and 20 meters from the beach. Each bungalow has a private bathroom and there is a small communal kitchen. Breakfast is included. Make sure to bring your towel, sunscreen, bug spray and swim suuit.  It has a laid-back, welcoming air, perfect for relaxing in the hammocks under the palm trees.   

The cost is $25US per person per night. Please let us know how many of you are coming so we can place you in the correct bungalows. You don´t need to contact Laguna Surf Camp, we will be arranging the bookings. 

Alojamiento:
Nosotros creemos firmemente en la importancia de pasar tiempo en comunidad, pensamos que es importante pasar tiempo divirtiendo y compartiendo con nuestros amigos, familiares y seres queridos. Debido a eso, hemos reservado todos los bungalows en Laguna Surf Camp durante 3 noches el 5, 6 y 7 de agosto, le pedimos que ustedes nos digan  lo mas antes posible si van a poder pasar este increíble fin de semana con nosotros.

Laguna Surf Camp se encuentra en Máncora a pocas cuadras del centro de Máncora y a 20 metros de la playa. Cada cabaña cuenta con baño privado y hay una pequeña cocina compartida. El desayuno está incluido. Tiene un aire tranquilo y acogedor, ideal para relajarse en las hamacas bajo las palmeras.
